Job Summary
GetWell HealthSystems is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The FNP will provide high-quality primary and preventive care to patients across a variety of age groups while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
This is a part-time, on-site position with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services to patients.
Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, and health histories.
Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Indiana regulations and clinical guidelines.
Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and other appropriate evaluations.
Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the healthcare team.
Provide referrals to specialists and other healthcare services when appropriate.
Promote preventive care, wellness, and disease-management strategies.
Follow all applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies.
Maintain a professional, respectful, and compassionate approach with patients and their families.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program.
Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the State of Indiana.
Current APRN certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Current BLS certification.
DEA registration or ability to obtain one, if required for the position.
Previous primary care or family practice experience preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
