Job description

Description. This contract position is on-site, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to our anesthesiology department within the medical practice industry.

As a Locum CRNA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various procedures. Your expertise will help ensure the safety and comfort of patients, collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to execute optimal anesthesia plans.

Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
Collaborate with surgical teams to determine anesthesia plans
Evaluate patients for anesthesia risks and formulate appropriate interventions
Manage anesthesia-related emergencies and document care provided
Stay current with advances in anesthesia practices and protocols
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding anesthesia plans
Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care
Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

Associate's degree in Nursing and completion of a nurse anesthesia program
Current CRNA certification and valid state license in good standing
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthesia techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Proficiency in managing anesthesia-related emergencies
Familiarity with electronic health record systems
Commitment to patient safety and quality assurance

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts

Weekend call, 1:6

Case Types: General, nerve blocks, ortho, gyn, etc.

Support Staff: 5 CRNAs

EMR: Plexus

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
