A Skilled Nursing Facility in Beech Grove/Indy Area is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead its clinical team. This leadership opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in resident care, mentor nursing staff, and help maintain high-quality standards in a supportive healthcare environment.
Position Overview
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical operations within the skilled nursing and long-term care setting. This includes ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, promoting person-centered care, managing nursing staff performance, and supporting positive resident outcomes.
Responsibilities Include
- Direct and supervise all nursing department operations
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
- Oversee infection control, documentation, and quality assurance programs
- Lead and mentor nursing staff to achieve clinical excellence
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain a culture of compassion, professionalism, and accountability
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana
- Minimum of 1 years of clinical management or supervisory experience in long-term care or skilled nursing
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations
- Passion for resident-centered care and team development
