Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Ob/Gyn

Description

This contract, on-site position offers an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality women's healthcare in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

As a Locum Ob/Gyn physician, you will deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal care, deliveries, gynecologic examinations, and surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with nursing staff, midwives, and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care and positive patient outcomes within the medical practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric care, including prenatal visits, labor and delivery, and postpartum follow-up
• Perform gynecologic examinations, screenings, and diagnostic evaluations
• Conduct gynecologic surgical procedures as required
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and coordinate with specialists when necessary
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic imaging
• Prescribe and manage medications, treatments, and therapies
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Collaborate with nursing staff, midwives, and allied health professionals
• Counsel patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive care
• Participate in on-call rotation for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
• Ensure compliance with medical practice standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health management

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Associate-level experience practicing as an Ob/Gyn physician
• Valid medical license in good standing
• Current DEA registration
• Proven clinical skills in obstetric and gynecologic care
• Strong diagnostic and surgical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to work on-site in Culpeper
• Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts

Setting: Hospital

Must be board-certified
