Interventional Radiology Technologist

Position Highlights

Under general direction from the Imaging Lead and/or Imaging Supervisor, will
perform complex technical procedures and assist physicians during clinical and
research examinations such as angioplasties, embolization's, chemotherapy
treatments, and intracranial procedures.

Department Description

Advanced diagnostic imaging, specialized clinical expertise. Radiology Services
at Harborview Medical Center offers a full complement of radiology tests and
imaging procedures, including nuclear medicine and interventional radiology
(angiography).

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Independently performs and assists the physicians in performing all vascular
• Participates in performing diagnostic interventional Angiograms; monitors
• Operates the following equipment/systems: PACS, MacLab, IntelliShelf/MPOUS,
• Assists in training new angiography technologists and residents. Participates
• Prepares patient for examination: explaining the procedure, making sure there
• Performs or assists with Angiography procedures in areas outside Angio suite
• Provides the appropriate education to patient and their families prior to and

Required Position Qualifications

• Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist
• Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications
