Job Description

University Eye Associates in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Doctor of Optometry to join its established, patient-centered practice with a unique partnership opportunity. This role is ideal for an optometrist who is excited to provide full-scope care, build meaningful relationships with patients, and grow within a respected independent practice that has proudly served the Charlotte community for decades.

Why Join Us?

University Eye Associates has proudly served the community since 1986, building a strong reputation as an independent practice rooted in full-scope, medical-model optometry.

The practice provides comprehensive primary eye care along with medical eye care, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, and myopia management, giving doctors the opportunity to practice to the full extent of their training in a supportive and well-established clinical setting.

The team is committed to combining advanced technology, personalized treatment, and a warm patient experience to deliver high-quality care for individuals and families across the community.

What You'll Do

You’ll provide refractive and medical patient care in a full-scope optometric setting, using advanced technology such as OCT, virtual visual fields, LipiFlow, IPL, corneal topography, and optical services to support accurate diagnoses, personalized treatment plans, and high-quality outcomes.

In this full-time, 40-hour-per-week role, you’ll care for 20 to 24 patients each day while managing a broad range of visual and medical eye care needs. You’ll also collaborate with an experienced clinical and optical team to create a smooth, patient-centered experience from exam through follow-up care.

Who You Are

You are a compassionate, patient-centered optometrist with strong clinical skills and a natural ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.

You take pride in delivering thoughtful, high-quality care, building trust through every interaction, and taking the time to understand each patient’s unique vision and eye health needs.

You are comfortable practicing in a full-scope medical optometry environment, confident using advanced technology to support clinical decision-making, and motivated to provide care that is both thorough and personalized.

As a collaborative team member, you value open communication, professionalism, and a positive practice culture, and you are excited by the opportunity to grow with an established independent practice that offers long-term potential and meaningful patient relationships.

Why You'll Love Charlotte

Living in Charlotte offers the perfect blend of Southern charm, big-city opportunity, and everyday convenience.
