Job Description

At Corinth Eye Clinic and Weeden Eye Clinic in Corinth and New Albany, MS, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping patients access comprehensive eye care close to home.

From diabetic eye exams and glaucoma screenings to eye pressure monitoring and ongoing eye health management, the clinics are committed to preserving patients’ vision while reducing the need to travel elsewhere for care.

Bring your passion for community care to a team committed to making essential eye care convenient and accessible.

Why Join Us?

Established in 1993, Corinth Eye Clinic and Weeden Eye Clinic in Corinth, MS, and New Albany, Mississippi, offer an opportunity to join a team guided by a Christian mission to love and serve.

Dr. Weeden and his staff are committed to welcoming every patient with unconditional care, regardless of background or financial circumstances, and exceeding expectations through teamwork, ongoing education, and a shared reliance on God’s guidance.

The clinics provide comprehensive eye exams and full-scope medical optometry, including YAG laser services, cataract postoperative care, Nuro Lens, and myopia control, alongside diabetic eye exams, glaucoma detection and monitoring, eye pressure checks, retinal evaluations, and ongoing ocular health management.

Looking ahead, the team aims to become a preferred destination for advanced, personalized eye care by expanding dry eye treatment, developing cosmetic and aesthetic services, investing in modern diagnostic technology, and broadening specialized vision care for patients of all ages.

By bringing more advanced services closer to home, the practice seeks to reduce the need for patients to travel to Memphis, Tupelo, or other larger cities.

What You'll Do

As an Associate Optometrist, you’ll provide compassionate, comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, from routine examinations and prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses to the diagnosis and management of medical eye conditions.

Your responsibilities will include diabetic eye exams and retinopathy monitoring, glaucoma evaluations and eye pressure checks, retinal assessments, and treatment of dry eye and other ocular surface conditions, with access to equipment including OCT, Optos, Ellemn, and YAG laser.

You’ll develop personalized treatment plans, educate patients on eye health and preventive care, and coordinate referrals to ophthalmologists or other specialists when needed.

You’ll maintain accurate, timely electronic health records documenting medical histories, examination findings, testing and imaging results, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations while protecting patient confidentiality and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

You’ll also support MIPS participation when applicable, quality reporting and performance benchmarks, Medicare and other insurance documentation, regulatory compliance, and ongoing quality improvement.

Working closely with opticians, technicians, front office staff, and other healthcare professionals, you’ll communicate clearly and balance an efficient schedule with attentive, personalized care.

You’ll help expand comprehensive medical eye care and advanced dry eye services, contribute to the development of cosmetic and aesthetic services, stay current with emerging technologies and treatments, strengthen patient and referral relationships, and share ideas that improve the patient experience, clinical efficiency, and practice growth. The role includes 35–40 hours and a patient volume of 25–30 patients per doctor.

Who You Are

You’re a clinically skilled, compassionate optometrist who confidently diagnoses and manages medical eye conditions beyond routine vision care. You build trust through a caring bedside manner and bring attention to detail to every examination, patient chart, and follow-up.

With a growth-oriented mindset, you’re excited to help expand dry eye, glaucoma, diabetic eye care, and aesthetic services. You thrive as a collaborative team member, taking an active role in strengthening the practice and creating a positive experience for patients and colleagues alike.
