Locum Tenens Neonatal APP Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant

Provider Availability

Minimum requirement of 3-4 shifts per month.

Experience Requirement

Candidates must have Level IV NICU experience.

Level III experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis but is not preferred.

Shift Details

• 13-hour shifts
• Need for 3-4 daytime providers (7 AM to 8 PM)
• Requirement for 1 night provider (7 PM to 8 AM)

Patient Load

• MDs: 16-24 patients per day
• APPs: 8-12 patients per day

Facility Overview

• Total Bed Count: 87 beds
• Required Procedures: Candidates must be proficient in routine Level IV NICU procedures, including delivery room stabilization, as part of standard Neonatology training.

Coverage Model

Day Coverage

Each 25-bed unit is staffed by 1 Attending and 2 APPs, while a 12-bed unit requires 1 Attending and 1 APP.

Night Coverage

1 APP per unit, with oversight from 1 overnight Neonatologist.

Additional Notes

• Paid travel and expenses will be covered.
• Providers will undergo cross-credentialing at two additional locations.
• Candidates holding a compact license may be considered, even if they do not possess an active Florida license.
