The technologist operates imaging equipment such as x-ray and fluoroscopy to perform diagnostic exams while ensuring patient safety and accurate positioning. They collaborate with radiologists and physicians, document patient information in the EMR, and assist with minimally invasive procedures.
Candidates must hold an active Registered Technologist (RT) certification from the ARRT and a current Indiana State Department of Health license. A Basic Life Support certification from the AHA is also required, along with the ability to maneuver equipment and handle patient positioning.
