Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body

interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the

exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly

operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing

radiation dose to the patient. As a Registered Radiology Technologist, you will

perform Radiology exams and Fluoroscopic procedures on patients of all ages

while maintaining patients' safety.

This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working

day/evening/night/weekend shifts between 7:00 a. m. – 3:30 p. m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will

* Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic

procedures.

* Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.  

* Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.  

* Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.  

* Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure

understanding and cooperation.

* Maintain documentation.  

* Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to

the help desk and PACS administrator.

* Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients

and process billing.

* Rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

* Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology  

* Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic

Technologists R. T.(R) (ARRT) and in good standing

* Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist  

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification  

* Knowledge of anatomy and related pathological processes

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

* One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist  

Physical Requirements

* Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

* Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and

manipulate equipment daily.

* Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
