Key Responsibilities
The Social Worker II performs complex social services work, including acting as a liaison between individuals, their representatives, and treatment providers to ensure ongoing care. They are responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments, coordinating admissions and discharges, and facilitating training to promote individual rights and self-advocacy.
Requirements
Candidates must possess licensure as a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) or higher from the Texas Board of Social Work Examiners. Applicants are required to have at least six months of experience working with individuals with mental, social, or substance use disorders, or completion of a state hospital internship program.
