Key Responsibilities
The Behavioral Health Specialist evaluates the medical necessity, appropriateness, and quality of behavioral health services through clinical record reviews and provider communication. They also monitor treatment progress, address barriers to care, and coordinate services to ensure optimal health outcomes for members.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid behavioral health license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or BCBA, along with a master's degree in a related field and at least one year of post-master's clinical experience. Alternatively, a Registered Nurse license in the state of Oklahoma is accepted.
