Assessment Specialist - Behavioral Health

Key Responsibilities

The Assessment Specialist facilitates the entire response process for service requests, including initial contact, assessment, referral, level of care determination, admission, and follow-up activities. This role involves conducting initial evaluations, documenting patient needs and symptoms, and providing necessary information to the Medical Doctor for Level of Care determination.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling or an Associate’s degree in Nursing, along with a current clinical, social work, mental health counseling, or RN license as required by state regulations. Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients is preferred, and CPR and De-escalation certification must be obtained within 30 days if not already held.
