How you’ll contribute

The Director of Outpatient Services who excels in this role:

• Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
• Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
• Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
• Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.
• Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e. g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.

Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
• Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Working knowledge of the addiction and recovery field and experience in clinical practice, working effectively with people of diverse background, and communication with organizations or comparable entities preferred.
• License: Current counseling or social work license as required by state regulations.
• Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
