About the Role

Charm City Therapy is looking for a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our growing team in Frederick, MD. Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to special education evaluations and planning
• Connect students and families to community resources and support services
• Identify and report suspected child abuse or neglect in accordance with mandated reporter guidelines
• Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, and progress reports

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current LMSW or LCSW licensure in the state of Maryland
• Experience working with school-age children and adolescents preferred
• Familiarity with IEP processes, IDEA, and special education frameworks
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based interventions
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
