The Clinical Staff Pharmacist reviews medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness and performs accurate computer order entry in an acute care setting. They also manage supportive personnel, provide patient education, and participate in clinical programs to improve patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree and possess at least one year of pharmacy experience. Required certifications include Texas State Board of Pharmacy licensure, sterile compounding certification, BLS, and ACLS.
