Job Description
- Salary Range: $16.62 - $22.86 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: Administrative/ClericalChristie Clinic's department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Paperwork Specialist at the Windsor clinic in Champaign from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include filling out and/or delegating incoming paperwork to the appropriate nurse/provider. Ensure completed paperwork is sent to the appropriate individual. Job Qualifications and ExpectationsJOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all the duties assigned.) Process a high volume of medical forms and letter request. Act as a liaison between Internal Medicine providers and patients. Manage all incoming requests in the EMR for letters and forms. Fill out and distribute appropriately. Document all steps taken for paperwork to be processed within the EMR. Contact patient once paperwork is completed and route completed paperwork appropriately. Attend and participate in monthly department meetings. Cross train managing the fax server (incoming faxes into the department). Receive and deliver mail across the department, take outgoing mail to the mailroom. Maintain an organized work area. Perform related work as required.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: None CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Order entry TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a clinic setting and involves frequent contact with patients and exposure to communicable illnesses.
