Key Responsibilities
The General Surgeon will provide medical consultation and case review evaluations for Workers' Compensation cases, specifically for the Department of Labor. Responsibilities include interpreting medical reports, evaluating evidence, and providing expert medical opinions within specified timelines.
Requirements
Candidates must be a licensed physician (MD or DO) with board certification and at least two years of clinical experience in their specialty. A minimum of 240 hours of direct patient care per year is required to participate under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act.
