Job Description

Location: Iowa (Flexible/Community-Based)

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Are you tired of staring at a computer screen all day or sitting in a stuffy office? Do you want a job where your daily checklist includes playing board games, completing scavenger hunts, building Lego towers, and practicing life skills out in the community?

We are looking for energetic, creative, and passionate Behavioral Health Interventionists (BHIS Providers) to join our team. If you love working with kids and families, thinking outside the box, and making a real difference while keeping things lively and active, this is the perfect fit for you.

Why This Job is Uniquely Fun for You

Ditch the Desk: Your "office" changes every day. You will be working directly with clients in their homes, schools, and communities.

Get Paid to Play (With a Purpose)

You will use games, art projects, and interactive activities to teach emotional regulation, social skills, and coping strategies. If you can make learning how to manage anger feel like an epic challenge or an engaging puzzle, you will thrive here.

Creative Freedom: No rigid, boring scripts here. We provide the framework, but you bring the flavor. Want to teach communication skills through a role-playing game or team building through a backyard sports activity? Go for it!

High-Energy, High-Reward: You get to be the mentor and positive role model that kids look forward to seeing every single week. You are the highlight of their day.

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

  • Meeting one-on-one with children and teens to teach vital behavioral skills through hands-on, engaging interventions.
  • Empowering parents with positive reinforcement strategies that bring peace back to their households.
  • Collaborating with a supportive, collaborative clinical team that celebrates your creative wins.
  • Keeping brief, straightforward notes to track your clients' growth and success.

What You Bring to the Table

The "Fun Factor": High energy, patience, and a knack for connecting with youth on their level.

The Right Background: A Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Development, sociology, etc.), OR a combination of a non-human services degree plus 20 hours of child mental health training, OR an AA degree plus 1 year of experience.

The Essentials: A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a clean background check.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive pay and flexible scheduling (build a calendar that works for your life!).
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance packages.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) so you can enjoy your own fun outside of work.
  • Robust training, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities.

Ready to transform lives without losing your spark? Apply today and let’s make behavioral health fun together!
