IONM Neurologist - Interpreting Physician

MPOWERHealth is seeking a board-certified Neurologist with expertise in neurophysiology to join our remote neuromonitoring team. As an integral part of our organization, you will provide real-time interpretation of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) studies to help optimize patient care across the country.

Responsibilities

The Neurologist - Interpreting Physician is responsible for real-time analysis of electrophysiological data generated during surgical procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgical teams and IONM technologists to support positive patient outcomes.

Provide real-time interpretation of intraoperative neuromonitoring data and communicate findings directly to surgical teams

• Correlate electrophysiological findings with the patient’s clinical status to support surgical decision-making
• Conduct comprehensive post-operative case reviews and complete detailed reports
• Contribute to quality assurance and improvement efforts to maintain high standards of neuromonitoring services
• Maintain current knowledge of advancements and best practices in neuromonitoring

Qualifications

• Board-certified Neurologist with expertise in electrophysiology.
• Fellowship in intraoperative neuromonitoring required; a doctorate in the field is preferred.

Strong understanding of intraoperative neuromonitoring modalities (e. g., SSEPs, MEPs, BAERs, EMG).

• Knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative care.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Prior experience in IONM is strongly preferred.
