Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Sumter/Manning, SC - Colonial Healthcare/Optum

Join UnitedHealth Group as a Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner – 13 Shifts/Month in Sumter, South Carolina. Colonial Healthcare, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a NP or PA to join our team in Sumter, SC. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a wide range of urgent medical conditions (sore throat, respiratory illness, rashes and skin infections, sprains and strains, fracture care, cuts, burns and others).

• Perform minor procedures and interpret diagnostic tests (e. g., X-rays, EKGs, labs, CT scans, ultrasound, MRI, echocardiogram, PFT, urodynamic tests, and more).

• Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.

• Communicates with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.

• Active SC license (or ability to obtain prior to start).

• Active DEA license with no restrictions.

• Ability to obtain ACLS & BLS certification within 90 days of employment.

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary: $109,500 - $164,000

• Malpractice insurance covered.
