Key Responsibilities
The Medical Social Worker assists patients and families with financial, social, and emotional concerns while providing effective coping strategies. They also coordinate care with the healthcare team and implement interventions to reduce health risks in the patient's home environment.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a master's or doctorate degree from an accredited school of social work and possess at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting. A current CPR certification and compliance with state and federal requirements are also mandatory.
