General Overview

Provides care to women and their families throughout their lifespan.

Essential Responsibilities

* Performs procedures within the scope of midwifery practice as defined by the

American College of Nurse Midwives and outlined in the practice guidelines.

(50%)

* Performs assessments of physical, psychosocial and educational needs. (25%)

* Provides diagnosis and order appropriate treatment and medication. (25%)

* Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum

* Graduate of Nurse Midwife Program accredited by the Accreditation Commission

for Midwifery Education (ACME)

* Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the

enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).

* Certification from American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB)

* Current PA Midwifery license with prescriptive authority

* Current PA driver's license

* CPR – American Heart Association

* Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

* Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate

* Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Preferred

* 1-3 years’ midwifery experience
