East Hampton Veterinary Group is hiring a full-time Medical Director with a
partnership mindset to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care
to cats and dogs. We are looking for someone to lead, grow, and help shape the
future of a well-established, community-trusted hospital.

Whether you’re motivated by high-quality medicine, team leadership, or the dream
of owning your own hospital, this role offers the support and structure to make
it a reality.

What to Expect

* A schedule that respects your time. Our last appointment of the day is at
4:30pm. You won’t be expected to stay late or be on call.
* A 2:1 staff to doctor ratio. You will have the support—and respect—you need
to be excellent for our patients. Our current team consists of 1 DVM, 1
part-time LVT, 5 Assistants, and 3 CSRs. We offer a supportive work
environment with experienced colleagues and staff.
* All the benefits you deserve—health, dental, vision, retirement—plus:
relocation assistance, pet discounts, uniform allowance, CE allowance, and
Employee Assistance Program (EAP), plus we will cover your dues, license fees
and AVMA-PLIT.
* Paid time off. Catch your breath with Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, and
paid CE days every year. Take the time you need to recharge.
* Partnership opportunities through Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP), where
more than 260 partners co-own practices across 185 locations. VPP offers
unmatched support in operations, marketing, and finance, allowing you to
focus on your passion for veterinary medicine.

Partnership & Growth Opportunity

This is more than a Medical Director role. It is an opportunity to step into
true hospital leadership with a pathway to ownership.

Through Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP), you will have the opportunity to
become an equity partner in the hospital. With over 260 veterinarian partners
across 185 locations, VPP provides the infrastructure and business support while
empowering doctors to lead and grow their own practices.

As Medical Director, you will

* Lead medical quality and clinical standards
* Mentor and develop your team
* Influence hospital growth, services, and long-term strategy
* Build equity in a practice with an established client base and strong
community reputation

This hospital already has the foundation in place, including a loyal clientele,
established facility, and consistent caseload. The right candidate will view
this as a chance to build something long-term and meaningful.

Requirements

* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited
institution
* Valid veterinary license in the state of New York
* Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
* Interest in leadership, mentorship, and practice growth

About East Hampton Veterinary Group

East Hampton Veterinary Group has served the East End since 1929 and is the
oldest veterinary practice in the region, trusted by generations of families for
compassionate, personalized care. The hospital blends traditional medicine with
integrative therapies such as acupuncture and Chinese herbal approaches. The
practice is equipped with digital and dental radiography, in-house labs,
echocardiogram capability, and offers a wide range of surgical services
including dentistry, TPLO, and TTA. Our culture emphasizes communication,
kindness, collaboration, and a supportive environment that allows veterinarians
to practice at a high level.

As the practice approaches its 100-year anniversary, we are seeking an
experienced veterinarian with at least 3 years of clinical experience who enjoys
both medical and surgical care. Confidence in spay, neuter, dentistry, and soft
tissue surgery is expected, with interest in orthopedics or integrative medicine
viewed positively. This role is designed for a Medical Director who can lead
medical quality, support team development, and preserve the culture that has
defined the hospital for decades. The position follows the seasonal rhythm of
the Hamptons, with a busier late spring through early fall balanced by a
steadier off season schedule. This is a rare opportunity to guide a respected
hospital, shape its future, and continue the legacy of a practice trusted for
generations.

We are dedicated to establishing a culture that celebrates all forms of
diversity and allows us to be an inclusive service provider in this community.
