The Violence Intervention Therapist will provide evidence-based psychological evaluation and treatment services to residents at the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) facilities to promote well-being and rehabilitation. This role specifically targets residents needing gang/violence intervention to reduce the likelihood of recidivism.
Minimum qualifications include knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating delinquent juveniles, extensive knowledge of psychological assessment principles, and competencies in various forms of psychotherapy. Additional considerations include licensure as an LCSW or LPC and experience conducting assessments or providing treatment to the juvenile delinquent population.
