The Neurosurgery Physician Assistant performs advanced diagnostic and therapeutic tasks related to surgery and trauma, acting as a first or second assistant in surgical procedures. This role also involves participating in both pre-operative and post-operative patient care while adhering to safety and quality improvement standards.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, along with completion of a Physician Assistant course, and hold a current California State Physician Assistant License, DEA registration, BLS, and ACLS certifications. Preferred experience is 1 to 2 years, and the role requires physical capabilities such as standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
