Job Description
In a world of noise, we find the signal — the pulse of potential. We weave the strands of talent, vision, and purpose into organizations that endure. Blending intelligence with intuition, we honor the human art of connection at the heart of every great company.
Southcentral Alaska | Onsite | Full-time or part-time | Open to candidates relocating from the Lower 48
About the Opportunity
We are partnered with a well-established Alaska nonprofit on a confidential search for a Clinical Supervisor at its behavioral health treatment center. This is the clinical backbone of the program: the licensed clinician who supervises the treatment team, holds the quality standard, and keeps a reduced caseload so they never lose touch with the work itself.
You will collaborate closely with the treatment center’s Administrator to make sure every client moves through a safe, empowering continuum of care, and you will report into a newly restructured clinical leadership team that is building, not maintaining. For a clinician who is ready to shape how a whole team practices, this is the seat.
About the Organization
The organization is one of the larger human services providers in its region, with a multi-decade history, a diversified base of public and private funding, and a broad portfolio of programs serving thousands of individuals and families each year. The treatment center addresses mental health and substance use disorders through evidence-based treatment, in the least restrictive environment possible, in collaborative partnership with clients.
The organization leads with empathy, autonomy, and psychological safety, integrates services so people get what they need without running a gauntlet, and keeps improving programs in ways that center humanity, dignity, and ethical practice. Wins are celebrated, creativity is encouraged, and staff feel trusted, respected, and safe.
What You Will Own
- Clinical supervision and quality assurance for the behavioral health treatment team.
- The clinical standard: how assessments, treatment plans, and documentation are done, and how evidence-based practices are delivered with fidelity.
- A reduced clinical caseload of your own.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision
Provide individual and group clinical supervision to the treatment team, including clinicians working toward licensure.
Lead case consultation and treatment planning reviews; support staff through complex client situations, ethical questions, and crisis response.
- Model and coach strengths-based, trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and restorative approaches across the team.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of clinical staff in partnership with the Administrator.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Review clinical documentation for quality, timeliness, and compliance with licensing, accreditation, and Alaska Medicaid requirements.
Maintain fidelity to evidence-based treatment models and lead continuous improvement of clinical workflows and standards.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives, in-service training, utilization review, and data reporting.
- Serve as a resource on confidentiality regulations and ethical standards for the treatment team.
Direct Service
- Carry a reduced caseload providing assessment, treatment planning, and therapy to children, youth, and adults with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Provide clinical coverage and crisis consultation as needed.
Collaboration
Partner with the Administrator on scheduling, productivity, access, and the day-to-day operation of the center.
Coordinate with the organization’s other programs so clients experience one integrated continuum of care rather than a set of separate doors.
Who We Are Looking For
Master’s degree in a behavioral health field (sociology, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, addiction studies, human services, or social work).
- Appropriate Alaska licensure with supervision capabilities: LCSW, LPC, LMSW, or LBSW.
- At least two years of mental health and substance use clinical experience with children, youth, and adults.
- Eligible to enroll, or currently enrolled, as a provider in Alaska Medicaid.
- Experience supervising clinicians, interns, or associate-level staff is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of evidence-based treatment for co-occurring disorders and of clinical documentation and billing standards.
- A calm, approachable presence under pressure, and a genuine interest in developing other clinicians.
