  • Experienced Clinician | DTLA Flagship Hub
  • Full-Time | School-Based
  • Community-Based
  • Outpatient Care

Annual Salary: $97,500–$104,000

Bring Your Expertise. Expand Your Clinical Impact.

Are you an Occupational Therapist who enjoys independent clinical problem-solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, and applying specialized knowledge across diverse pediatric environments?

At TLC Pediatric Therapy, we recognize experienced clinicians for more than their years in practice. We value professionals who demonstrate ownership of their clinical development, sound professional judgment, mastery of organizational expectations, and the ability to translate therapeutic frameworks into meaningful outcomes for children and families.

Our Downtown Los Angeles Flagship Hub offers experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapists the opportunity to apply their expertise across school-based, community-based, and outpatient settings while contributing to clinical innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

One career. Multiple clinical environments. Opportunities to advance your expertise and community impact.

About TLC Pediatric Therapy

Inspired by Childhood. Supported by Evidence. Delivered with Compassion.

For more than 25 years, TLC Pediatric Therapy has worked to improve how young children and families access developmental healthcare throughout Los Angeles County.

Founded in partnership with a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), TLC's early work emerged from the development of an interdisciplinary medical-clinical manual and a shared commitment to improving developmental identification and intervention.

Our work expanded into pediatric screening toolkits, family-centered coaching, and warm handoff approaches through First 5 LA First Connections (2013–2022), supported by research collaboration with Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and TLC's founder-developed BRIDGE™ framework. These initiatives also established feedback systems connecting referring pediatric providers with developmental outcomes and results from screening initiatives.

This history reflects our longstanding commitment to early identification, community partnerships, and translating clinical knowledge into improvements in healthcare delivery and policy.

Today, our DTLA Flagship Hub continues this mission through coordinated pediatric therapy services across schools, community organizations, and outpatient settings.

We are especially passionate about supporting children from birth to five years of age and strengthening relationships between families, healthcare providers, educators, and the communities they serve.

Your Clinical Experience

As an OTP 3–4 clinician, you will bring established pediatric competencies to a diverse caseload while exercising independent clinical judgment and contributing to interdisciplinary practice.

School-Based Occupational Therapy

Collaborate with educators and school teams to assess and support children's participation in educational routines. Independently develop functional strategies addressing fine motor development, sensory-motor skills, independence, and access to learning environments.

Community-Based Care

Partner with families and community organizations to support children's participation in natural environments. Apply caregiver coaching and collaborative problem-solving to strengthen developmental outcomes and continuity of care.

Outpatient Pediatric Therapy

Provide comprehensive pediatric assessments and individualized intervention at our DTLA Flagship Hub, addressing sensory processing, motor development, self-care, feeding, play, and functional participation in collaboration with allied healthcare professionals.

Your Responsibilities

Independently conduct pediatric occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized, evidence-informed treatment plans.

Manage clinical responsibilities across school, community, and outpatient environments.

Apply established clinical reasoning to developmental presentations and adapt intervention strategies to each child's needs.

Translate specialized therapeutic knowledge into practical caregiver education and measurable functional outcomes.

Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, educators, healthcare professionals, and community partners.

Demonstrate consistent mastery and implementation of TLC's clinical policies, procedures, documentation standards, and professional expectations.

Communicate clearly, professionally, and independently with families, colleagues, supervisors, and interdisciplinary partners.

Take ownership of continuing education and identify opportunities to advance specialized clinical competencies.

Contribute to interdisciplinary case discussions, clinical problem-solving, and quality improvement initiatives.

Applying TLC's Specialized Clinical Models

Through TLC Clinical Compass™, experienced clinicians receive individualized professional development guidance, competency-based reviews, interdisciplinary consultation, and opportunities to deepen specialized expertise.

At the OTP 3–4 level, professional growth is demonstrated through independent clinical decision-making, consistent application of organizational policies, effective professional communication, and ownership of continuing education.

We value clinicians who recognize opportunities for improvement, seek advanced knowledge, and demonstrate how their professional development translates into stronger clinical practice.
