Summary of the Position

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GROVE CITY, PA, ON THE GEORGE JUNIOR REPUBLIC CAMPUS. The Behavioral Health Technician 2 and 3 are the primary childcare personnel for the Special Needs Units/Intensive Supervision Units/ and Diagnostic Facilities.

This position is designed to provide the daily services of safety, security and structure to the persons served. The care, custody and supervision of the persons served are the primary concerns of the job. This position is for our Intensive Supervision Unit (ISU).

We are also seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to serve in the Secure Detention program.

Pay

• Behavioral Health Technician 3 - pay starts at $22/hour.
• Behavioral Health Technician 2 - pay starts at $20/hour.
• Starting pay may be increased with certain education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor youth
• Conduct one-on-one sessions
• Complete Treatment Goal Notes
• Attend activities with youth
• Assist in teaching youth life skills

Requirements

• For the Behavioral Health Technician 3 - Must have an associates or bachelors degree in social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice or related field.
• For the Behavioral Health Technician 2 - Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with behavioral modification, and treatment principles preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Act 33/34 Clearances will be required.
• Must be able to work a rotating schedule.
• Must be able to perform passive physical restraint.
