Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor - Female Secure

Summary of the Position:  The Behavioral Health Technician Supervisor is scheduled to work in the Female Secure Residential Facility and assumes responsibility for the operations and actions of the Behavioral Health Technicians in the unit. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the safety, security, and operations of the staff and persons served. This position works various shifts, including weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities

• 1. Supervise staff
• 2. Support the oversight of treatment and programming
• 3. Provide safety and security at all times
• 4. Document as required per agency guidelines and standards
• 5. Provide food service to persons served
• 6. Engage in treatment planning and treatment team meetings
• 7. Plan and coordinate daily youth activities
• 8. Complete required training per policies and regulations
• 9. Ability to de-escalate and utilize Safe Crisis Management techniques

Lifting Requirements

Up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis.

Physical Requirements

Must be capable of implementing safe crisis management techniques and performing CPR.

Work Location:   This position is responsible for working in the Intensive Supervision Unit.

Requirements

• Experience working in a therapeutic secure detention with female youth and at least 60 college credits in psychology, criminal justice, or closely related human services degree preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED and five years' experience working with youth in a residential setting.

• Must have a valid driver's license and able to drive a van.
