Job Description

Parallel is hiring a Colorado-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a 24-hour-per-week remote assignment with a long-standing K-12 school partner, covering direct speech therapy and SLPA supervision starting December 2026.

Are you a dedicated clinician driven to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with learning differences? Join a team where providers are treated as part of the school community, not as a stopgap, and help students build the communication skills they need to thrive.

What You’ll Do

Provide student-centered, IEP-aligned virtual speech therapy to a caseload of 16 students ages 5–20 with mild to moderate needs.

Supervise SLPAs serving 32 students, in line with Colorado requirements, including both direct observation and indirect supervision.

  • Partner with school teams to monitor and refine IEP goals, and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
  • Systematically track session data and student progress to inform IEP consultations.
  • Write clear, goal-oriented progress reports for each reporting cycle.
  • Collaborate with the special education leadership team and the three Parallel SLPs already serving this partner.

What You’ll Need

  • Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Active Colorado SLP licensure, including the Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider license (SLP endorsement), or eligibility to obtain it before December 2026.
  • Experience supervising SLPAs, or eligibility to supervise SLPAs under Colorado requirements.
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time school-based experience delivering IEP-directed therapy (post-CFY).

Solid knowledge of the IEP process, goal writing, and progress monitoring, plus the ability to ramp up quickly on a mid-year start.

Availability for 24 hours per week between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm MT, with consistent availability Tuesday through Friday.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

  • Comfort with virtual telehealth platforms and digital documentation.
  • Prior experience with Medicaid billing is a plus.
  • Multilingual fluency is a significant asset.
