Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Specialist manages the safety and well-being of individuals in a crisis unit by providing direct care, monitoring vital signs, and performing security screenings. They also document all interactions in the Electronic Health Record and assist the clinical team with de-escalation and facility maintenance.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent along with specific credit hours in social sciences and relevant human services experience. Additionally, applicants must be able to pass background checks, obtain BLS certification, and meet physical requirements for patient intervention.
