Key Responsibilities
The PMHNP is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating adolescent and adult patients with mental health and substance abuse disorders. This includes prescribing medications, conducting psychotherapy, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Requirements
Candidates must be a Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with at least 2 years of experience and a valid license. Experience with severe mental illness (SMI) and comfort working with patients aged 13+ is required.
