Job description

Inova Physical Therapy is seeking Outpatient Physical Therapists to join our
clinics with locations across Northern Virginia! We have openings for Full-time,
Part-time and PRN, Day Shift, Monday-Friday with some evening shifts until 7pm.
We offer a 1:1 patient treatment model, a formal mentorship program and a

Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities

*  Documents the results of evaluations clearly and completely by including all
essential elements according to department policy.
* Completes daily progress notes that reflect patients' responses to treatment,
actual performance, and an assessment as to status relevant to the treatment
plan in addition to eventual discharge needs and treatment summaries if
needed.
* Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment,
progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and
patient and/or family education.
* Documents clearly, concisely and legibly within established timeframes (e. g.
allows other therapists to continue treatment, allows for interpretation by
payers, supports reimbursements).
* Documents evidence of patient and family/caregiver education.
* Contacts families, physicians or other healthcare team members in
anticipation of special needs of the patients or families in a timely manner
to facilitate effective treatment plans.
* May perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy
* Licensure: Virginia Physical Therapist License or Physical Therapist compact
privileges required upon start
* Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start.
* Experience: New grad welcome!

The Physical Therapist is responsible for conducting patient evaluations, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress notes and discharge summaries. They must also coordinate care with families, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and possess a valid Virginia Physical Therapist License or compact privileges. Additionally, a BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon the start date.
