Job Description
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will support and collaborate with the 2 North
Leadership Team and the Department of Professional Development and Nursing
Excellence to provide a framework of services that promote the growth and
development of nursing within Griffin Health Services. The CNE will assist with
orientation and onboarding of all nursing staff, including Student Nurse
Interns. The CNE will develop, implement relevant competencies and in-service
programs and collaborate with nursing leadership team in identifying areas in
which education is necessary. The CNE will assist in the development and
implementation of educational programs for nurses and nursing support staff.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required--MSN Preferred
Experience/Skills
Certification: Specialty or education certification preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years clinical experience in an acute care setting
required.
Licensure: Current Connecticut licensure in clinical field
Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA

Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and possess 2-4 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting. A current Connecticut nursing license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
