Job description
Join Community Resources for Justice as a Clinical Therapist in New Haven, Connecticut. Work as part of the clinical team to provide outpatient individual and group therapy both in general outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. Provide clinical assessment including behavioral health diagnosis and referral for medication management when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform biopsychosocial evaluations/treatments for a panel of clients with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Assist the clinical team by providing strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed assessments and treatment to clients with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field and relevant clinical experience. Behavioral Health Licensure such as: LCSW/LMHC/LPC/LADC required.
- Experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment both group and individual therapy preferred.
- Experienced in providing Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Treatment, Seeking Safety Treatment, and working with criminal justice population preferred.
