Job description

Position Overview: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Coverage Duration

Immediate start pending credentialing, with a commitment of 6 months but potential for extensions into the following year.

Work Environment

Medical Center setting.

Scheduling & Shifts

Flexible shifts available, Monday through Sunday, including standard 8 and 10-hour shifts.

Options for varied schedules and OB 12-hour shifts are available, with a strong preference for weekend and OB coverage.

Call Requirements

No call responsibilities.

Operating Rooms

Currently, the facility operates 8-9 ORs daily, along with 5-6 Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), 2 Eye Centers, and a 2 Electrophysiology Labs.

Anesthesia Delivery Model

Utilizes a care team model allowing CRNAs to manage their own cases with a high degree of autonomy.

Case Mix

The caseload includes general surgery, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), ophthalmologic procedures (cataracts), pediatrics, outpatient endoscopy, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, oncology, orthopedics, and Obstetrics (OB) is mandatory.

Spinal and epidural skills are advantageous but not a prerequisite. The client is prepared to offer comprehensive orientation and proctoring to ensure candidates are comfortable managing cases independently, typically lasting one week.

Required Certifications

Candidates must possess Board Certification and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.

Key Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services across various settings including operating rooms and ambulatory surgery centers using a care team model. Manage a diverse caseload including mandatory OB, pediatrics, and general surgery with a high degree of autonomy.

Requirements

Must be a Board Certified CRNA with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association. Mandatory competency in OB, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Gastrointestinal, and Gynecological procedures is required.
