Job Description
The Optometrist assess and examines eyes and other parts of the visual system to
diagnose and treat visual problems, manage diseases, injuries, and other
disorders of the eyes. Additionally the optometrist may prescribe eyeglasses or
contact lenses as needed.

Required qualifications
* Completion of a Doctor of Optometry program, obtaining and O. D. degree from
an accredited school or college of Optometry.
* Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, physiology or other health science related
field.
* California Optometrist License upon hire
* National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
Preferred qualifications
* 2 years of working as an Optometrist.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this
position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this
position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other
applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional
compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials,
standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus
opportunities.

Requirements
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Optometry degree and a Bachelor's degree in a health science field. A valid California Optometrist License and BLS certification are required upon hire.
