Job Description

Licensed Veterinarian

Who We Are

Our vision matches the playful spirit and determination of the owner's beloved little therapy dog. At the center of everything we do is the memory and dedication to their beloved Freddie. A little dog who loved to play with his red ball, he loved everyone and carried an endless supply of empathy and compassion.

Our motto "Keep the Ball Rolling" is a callback to Freddie's favorite red ball. It reminds us to always give our best, always with compassion and care for those who choose to trust us when they need help the most. That is the legacy and hope that created Freddie's Place.

We opened the doors to Freddie's Place Animal Hospital & Urgent Care in 2023 with the vision of providing gold standard care at a fair cost. Being financially ethical across the board and helping animals & their parents is very important to us.

Family owned and operated, Freddie's Place is a hybrid: Urgent Care & General Practice Veterinary Hospital that services the North County area of San Diego, in Vista and soon to open in Oceanside. We operate on a "walk in basis" for cases ranging from routine to Urgent Care. We are looking to hire veterinarians currently for both locations.

Culture at Freddie's Place

Our culture is forever evolving so that we can ensure that our hospital is the best place to be. We are open to direct feedback from our staff to find innovative ways to be ever changing and continue to grow our hospital, leadership and team members. We look out for you to grow your skill set, helping you learn and setting up appropriate mentorship & CE events to support you through your career with us.

We work as a team: We are knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about a better veterinary experience. We jump at the opportunity to help one another and seek out opportunities to team up on tasks. We're all in this together-our team, pet owners, and the animal- our success as a team hinges on all of us doing our best.

FOCUS: This role promotes learning, and growth as a Licensed Veterinarian, providing opportunities for coordination of care, and participating in the mentorship of fellow team members. Our veterinarians function using critical thinking and leadership to carry out quality patient treatment care in collaboration with our veterinary team.

We communicate clearly: We speak up, we do what we say, and we're transparent and honest. We value clear, simple communication. Every team member is empowered to try new things and own their decision-making.
