Innovative electronic record-keeping provides immediate access to your animal’s medical history, and our modern facilities and caring staff allow for a clean and friendly environment.
All staff participates in continuing education programs which, combined with the above, enables us to reach our goal of providing the ultimate level of care for your animal. We offer veterinary services for a wide range of animals, including cats and dogs.
Position Purpose
We are currently offering up to a $100K Sign-On Package for our opening at Wild River Veterinary Clinic!

Our practice has an ideal doctor-to-tech/assistant ratio. Our technical staff is highly utilized, ensuring you will always have an extra hand to assist! We foster a supportive team environment, with caseloads that are optimal for a doctor who likes to keep a steady agenda with a balance of medical and surgical cases.

About the Area
Pine City is a charming small town offering an abundance of scenic and recreational activities. Its many lakes and rivers make up over twenty-three square miles of water.
The Chengwatana State Forest, General Andrews State Forest, Banning State Park, St. Croix State Park, and Nemadji State Forest boast miles of hiking, ATV, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobile trails.
Pine City is an easy commute to Twin Cities shopping, athletic events, and all that a large metropolitan area has to offer!
Essential Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range
USD $115,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
Key Responsibilities
The Managing Veterinarian will examine, treat, and diagnose diseases or injuries in companion animals, operating diagnostic equipment and interpreting results. Essential duties also include advising pet owners on care, performing necessary surgeries, prescribing medication, and providing counsel on end-of-life care.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution and hold appropriate state licensure, along with eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD credentials. The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, a professional presentation, and the physical ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds, or over 25 pounds with assistance.
