Key Responsibilities
The National Medical Director leads the design and development of clinical specialty programs to improve the affordability, quality, and outcomes of surgical and endoscopic procedures. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, utilizing healthcare analytics to drive strategy, and representing clinical initiatives to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Doctorate of Medicine (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted license and board certification in General Surgery or a related specialty. The role requires over 10 years of clinical practice experience and at least 7 years of progressive leadership experience within a health plan or managed care environment.
