Job description
Join Legacy Health as a Physical Therapist - Acute Care in Silverton, Oregon. Your greatest reward is helping patients return to the life they love. As a Physical Therapist, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized treatment programs designed to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluation and Treatment Implementation.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across all age groups—from neonates to geriatrics—using age- and disability-appropriate assessments to establish baselines and develop individualized treatment plans that promote functional improvement.
- Assess patient abilities and limitations including neuromuscular movement and stability, sensation, perception, muscle strength, range of motion, body mechanics, vocational and prevocational abilities (adults), and developmental milestones (pediatrics).
- Evaluate patients’ home and work environments and recommend necessary physical barrier modifications or ergonomic adaptations to support safety and function.
Requirements
- Education: As required by licensure.
- Skills: Able to render patient services and may supervise Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (LPTAs), Therapy Aides and students.
- Excellent organizational skills to facilitate program development.
