Job Description

Field Support Veterinarian | North Carolina + South Carolina

One role. Two states. A lot more variety.

You became a veterinarian to practice medicine, not necessarily to practice it in the exact same place every day.

As a Field Support Veterinarian with Encore Vet Group, you'll work across our North and South Carolina hospitals, bringing your experience where it's needed and getting something pretty unique in return: a veterinary career that changes scenery without asking you to change employers.

Make an Impact Across the Carolinas

Your week can have some range. Different hospitals. Different communities. Different teams. You'll get exposure to the way multiple practices approach veterinary medicine while building relationships across the Encore network.

You're not just additional coverage. When you walk through the door, you help create capacity. That can mean more patients get seen, another veterinarian gets needed breathing room, or a hospital gets the support it needs through growth or transition.

Bring what you know. Pick up something new. Field Support works both ways. You bring experience and fresh perspective into every hospital, and each team gives you something new to take with you.

  • What You'll Help Make Possible
  • Greater access to care across Encore's Carolina hospitals
  • Continuity during periods when additional veterinarian coverage matters
  • Stronger clinical teams through shared experience and perspective
  • Additional capacity without sacrificing thoughtful patient care
  • Connections between doctors and teams across multiple Encore practices

What We're Looking For

  • DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
  • Licensed or eligible to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina
  • Experienced veterinarian comfortable working across different hospital environments
  • Ability to practice independently while collaborating with each local team
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned region

Compensation

  • $120,000–$160,000, based on relevant skills and experience.
  • Maybe your next veterinary home is more than one hospital.
  • If variety keeps you energized and you like being the doctor a team is genuinely glad to see walk through the door, we'd love to meet you.
