Key Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist is responsible for direct patient care, teaching, participation in committees, and departmental process improvement, while serving as a role model for other therapists and clinical interns. Key duties involve managing the patient plan of care, ensuring functional progress and safety from initial contact through discharge, and maintaining thorough documentation in the EMR.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy and hold a current Physical Therapist license in the State of Illinois, along with BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.
