Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Technician assists with patient activities of daily living, monitors patient behavior, and performs vital signs. They also maintain a safe and therapeutic environment by setting limits, documenting observations, and intervening in crisis situations.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an accredited Nursing Assistant program and hold a current Nurse Aide certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The role requires the physical ability to restrain combative patients and the successful completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 90 days.
