The Internist diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems of adult and geriatric patients.

The Internist Physician provides clinical care, including acute, chronic, and health maintenance services for adult and geriatric patients, and participates in on-call coverage for urgent health issues. This role also involves participation in the health center's Performance Improvement program and adherence to evidence-based, patient-centered medical practices.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO from an accredited university and have completed an ACGME Accredited Residency Training in Internal Medicine. Applicants must be Board Eligible or Board Certified as an Internist and licensed to practice in the State of Missouri, possessing effective clinical and communication skills.
