Position Summary

Provides consultation, evaluation, and physical therapy services to patients across the age continuum. Establishes a rehabilitative plan of care with realistic goals following a functional evaluation for all patients. Provides education to patients, family members, students, staff, and to the community at large. Coordinates services with other medical disciplines, making recommendations as appropriate to facilitate a complete rehabilitative process. Participates in Performance Improvement and Risk Management activities.

Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure

Graduate of a physical therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association. Currently licensed in the State of New York.

Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Demonstrates age specific competency annually on age populations served as identified in scope of care and services.

Special Equipment, Skills or Other Requirements

Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong time management skills.

  • BLS for Health Care Providers is required.
  • Experience in pelvic health or pelvic therapy preferred

Work Environment and Hazards

Clinical setting. Exposure Class I – Routine or potential exposure to blood, body fluids, excretions or secretions.

Physical Demands

Medium work: Continual and repetitive motions, including but not limited to, medium lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, climbing and prolonged walking and standing.

Pay Range: $38.55-56.40

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
