Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists provide patient-centered anesthesia for various surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures. They are responsible for administering anesthesia and monitoring patients throughout the surgical and recovery process.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing and be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthetist Program. A current New York State RN license, CRNA certification, and BCLS certification are required, along with at least one year of experience.
