Key Responsibilities

The Certified Nurse Midwife assesses patient health status, develops treatment plans, and provides care across the lifespan within established practice protocols. They are responsible for managing antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, as well as performing gynecological services and newborn assessments.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution and possess a current Registered Nurse license in South Carolina. Additionally, evidence of certification by a nationally recognized credentialing organization as a certified nurse midwife is required.
