Work Schedule

Key Responsibilities
The Substance Abuse Counselor provides client services in a shelter or recuperative care facility using a harm reduction model to support recovery and behavioral health. They are responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, leading group activities, and documenting all client interactions within the electronic medical record system.
Requirements
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a Certified Substance Use Counselor credential (CAADE, CCAPP, or CADTP). Additionally, at least two years of experience working with unhoused or substance-using populations is required.
